The sketches here have all been colored using either Photoshop or Corel Painter. Most drawings were drawn directly into Photoshop with the use of a tablet, while others are scanned drawings that were digitally colored. To see examples of more polished digital sketches, visit the Concept Art gallery.
The drawings here are all pulled directly from my sketchbooks. Here you may see examples of preliminary renderings for finished drawings featured in my other galleries, as well as quick sketches that have not yet been polished to any further degree.
Almost any artist out there can speak to the importance of drawing from life. It’s a great way to hone your rendering skills and rather relaxing as well. The drawings here differ slightly from the drawings in the Figure Drawing gallery since not all of the drawings are of the human figure. Those that are, however, were not models nor were they posing for me (in most cases they didn’t even know they were being drawn).
